Ask which water function is actually available
Cook County Forest Preserves’ event guidance warns that water availability should not be assumed. Confirm the current facilities at the booked grove or area and the uses permitted by the operator.
A water point listed on a map does not automatically establish drinking suitability, a catering connection or a supply for hired equipment. Describe each need separately in the planning discussion.
Choose washing equipment on its own terms
If a portable washing station is required and permitted, ask how its water, soap, drying materials and waste water are managed. Do not plan to refill or empty it at a public facility without an approved arrangement.
Keep guest directions clear so a toilet location is not confused with a washing or drinking-water destination.
Confirm the property-specific proposal
Send the Cook County address, activity and operator’s confirmed amenities. Ask the provider to review the actual equipment and service arrangement.
This page does not establish coverage across the county or permission at a preserve. Use the related city guide where it matches the actual address.
Questions before you book
Can a public tap be used to refill rental equipment?
Only with the required property and provider approval. Confirm its permitted function and the equipment’s supply arrangement.
